Banana Scrum sprint 23 released
Posted by on June 12, 2009
This release brings many changes visible in the UI and some optimization introducing a noticeable improvement in application performance (as opposed to previous release that was focused on performance and backend improvements). Some of the functions have been suggested by our users on Get Satisfaction.
New features
- Excluding holidays from the ideal burndown chart. Account administrator can specify which days should be treated as non-working days (by default Suturday and Sunday). This is a per-project setting, meaning that you can have different sets of working and non-working days in different projects. In the future we plan to allow excluding also single days in a specified sprint (for national holidays and other such days). Right now this setting changes only the behavior of ideal burndown - the line is flat on non-working days. This should make ideal burndown mor realistic and therefore useful.
- Concurrent sprints. You can now have as many concurrent sprints as you wish in each project. All team members assigned to projects can join all sprints that are open at any given time. This was suggested by users who have many teams working on the same project simultaneously.
- New task filters. Now you can filter your tasks to see all tasks, unassigned tasks and those that belong to a developer. Items with no matching tasks are hidden.
- Drag&drop on sprint planning page. You can drag & drop items from backlog to sprint on the planning page - of course green and red arrows still work as they used to.
- CSV separator setting. It is possible now to choose the separator if you export your backlog to a CSV file.
Enhancements
- Remembering last visited project. If you close your tab and open it again you will see the landing page of the last project you were working on.
- On the sprint planning page dropping items from sprint and taking new items into sprint is done with AJAX - from now on the page is not reloaded after each server request.
- New, more friendly way of adding new comments.
- Removed idea submitter role, which was currently not used and misleading.
